The Daddy gang officially have new representation.

Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper, her husband, film producer Matt Kaplan, and their Unwell banner have signed with CAA.

The move comes after Cooper exited UTA, which has represented her for a number of years, earlier this summer. The CAA move was telegraphed at the time.

It follows a tough period professionally for Cooper and Kaplan, who run TRNDG, which incorporates Call Her Daddy and Kaplan’s film and TV business. Unwell shut down a drinks business earlier this year and Kaplan, who produced the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before franchise, was accused of fostering an overly aggressive and toxic workplace at Unwell.

However, the pair did land a major investment in August from Patrick Whitesell’s WTSL in August, that valued the company at $500M and Cooper recently had a baby.

They have also increasingly been ramping up their TV and film slate with reality series including Netflix’s Let’s Marry Harry and Hulu’s Love Overboard as well as the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary special as well as an adaptation of Hannah Grace’s novel Icebreaker at Netflix and You Deserve To Know, a drama series starring Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley, in the works at Hulu.

Unwell has also been dipping its toe into original series for YouTube including Winter Games and Summer Games and launched its own in-house advertising and creative agency.

Cooper, Kaplan, and Unwell continue to be represented by attorneys Matt Thompson and Emily Zipperstein at Sidley Austin LLP; James Feldman at Lichter Grossman Nichols Feldman Rogal Shikora & Clark; and Shaun Gordon at Weintraub Tobin.
