Joel Kim Booster will take the stage to host the first joint Jackson Wild and Hollywood Climate Summit Media Awards, taking place in Los Angeles on Nov. 10.

The event honors nature and climate storytelling across film, TV, games and digital media, and will close Nature Media Exchange, a two-day summit taking place Nov. 9 and 10 at Solotech in L.A.

Actor Matthew Lawrence is on board as a guest presenter, while Jackson Wild will present its 2026 Legacy Awards to two honorees: Oscar-winning documentarian Louie Psihoyos (The Cove) and Monterey Bay Aquarium co-founder Julie Packard.

“Louie Psihoyos has shown the world what fearless storytelling can accomplish. His films don’t just document the challenges facing our planet, they move audiences to act, and they’ve redefined the way our industry thinks about impact,” Christie Quinn, executive director of Jackson Wild, said in a statement. “We’re honored to recognize Louie’s legacy, and the path he continues to forge for those of us who believe stories can change the world.”

“Few people have done more to connect the public with the ocean than Julie Packard,” Quinn added. “Her vision for the Monterey Bay Aquarium redefined what an aquarium could be: a place of wonder, a hub for science, and a powerful voice for protecting marine life. We’re thrilled to celebrate Julie’s legacy, which has inspired generations of conservationists, scientists, and storytellers.”

The awards show is the first under the partnership that Jackson Wild and Hollywood Climate Summit announced in March. Each organization oversees its own categories and judging, with the HCS finalists including Bugonia, Remarkably Bright Creatures, The Wild Robot, This is a Gardening Show, Train Dreams, The Last of Us, Hacks and The Four Seasons. Jackson Wild finalists include A Gorilla Story: Told by David Attenborough, Secrets of the Bees: The Hive, Shark Whisperer and Time and Water. Winners from both organizations will be announced at the ceremony, which will stream on Context Collaborative’s YouTube channel.
